A final step in the supply chain can be considered the generation of the invoice for payment of goods, materials, or services to a supplier. Suppliers may submit duplicate or false invoices for the goods or materials originally ordered.  Credits may not be applied, leaving it to the customer (buying party) to verify this whereby the supplier is hopeful that the customer will overlook account credits.
